Why choose ONYX for Physical Therapy?
We Teach At Local Universities and Health Science Schools
Choosing a physical therapist who teaches at a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) school ensures you're receiving care from someone at the forefront of the field. These therapists stay current with the latest research, treatment techniques, and clinical advancements. Their role in educating future clinicians reflects a deep understanding of best practices and a commitment to high standards of care. This expertise can lead to more precise assessments, innovative treatment strategies, and better long-term outcomes for patients.
We Have Advanced Training in Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Selecting a physical therapist who has completed a sports residency ensures specialized expertise in treating athletic injuries and optimizing performance. Residency-trained therapists undergo advanced, focused training in sports rehabilitation, gaining hands-on experience with athletes across various levels. They develop a deep understanding of biomechanics, injury prevention, and return-to-sport strategies, allowing for more precise and effective treatment. This level of specialization can lead to faster recovery, reduced risk of re-injury, and improved athletic performance, making them an excellent choice for active individuals and athletes.
We are Dual-Credentialed as Strength and Conditioning Coaches
Choosing a physical therapist who is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) ensures a unique blend of rehabilitation and performance expertise. This dual qualification allows the therapist to not only address injuries but also design strength and conditioning programs that enhance overall physical performance and prevent future issues. They understand how to safely progress clients from rehabilitation to peak athletic function, bridging the gap between recovery and high-level activity. This approach is especially valuable for athletes and active individuals seeking to return to sport stronger and more resilient.
